Workshop on Knowledge and Technology Transfer in Tbilisi will take place

The “Workshop on Knowledge and Technology Transfer” in the frames of the "Transferring V4 expertise in knowledge/technology transfer" project will take place on March 4-5 online.
The aim of the workshop is to transfer to the local research institutes and small and medium enterprises (SMEs) representatives the European expertise of commercialization of researches, aimed at satisfying the needs of SMEs. The workshop is organized by the Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University.

The workshop attendees can be: 

  1. management staff of research institutes,
  2. researchers,
  3. representatives of academic institutions,
  4. representatives of small and medium enterprises (SMEs).

The speakers of the workshop will be representatives of the following European universities:

  1. Technical University of Kosice (Slovakia) (www.tuke.sk)
  2. Silesian University of Technology (Poland) (www.polsl.pl)
  3. Masaryk University (Czech Republic) (www.muni.cz)

As a result of the workshop:

- research institutes’ representatives will gain knowledge on how to effectively organize the process of commercialization of knowledge/technology,
- SME representatives - knowledge on why and how to cooperate with research institutes and academic institutions, which will contribute to a more competitive position in the market for them.

The workshop will consist of both theoretical and practical parts. The working language of the workshop is English with simultaneous translation to Georgian.
